Metallurgical Laboratory

RES operates an extensive metallurgical laboratory that validates weld quality in all welding process.

Our Metallurgical laboratory determines the strengths and structures through tensile testing, microhardness, and cross tensions of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Our laboratory staff has the ability to validate processes determined by RES and are capable of validating what your company determines to be a good result. The RES metallurgical examination and failure analysis are valuable techniques used in quality inspection, process verification, troubleshooting, and product qualification. By using this third party laboratory , your company will receive a validated process that will eliminate scrap and rework, improve ROI, and increase overall productivity.

Our laboratory works with high strength steel, advanced high strength steel, dual phase material, martensitic, and TRIP. Other metals include stainless steel, aluminum, boron, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A structural analysis performed by RES can include components with just one weld up to full body/frame teardowns.
